Jellyfish
Amber Films 1973
Using images of people and objects linked together only by their presence on a beach, the animation creates a mood of threat and anxiety, heightened by its references to the nuclear issue. Made by Peter Roberts, who joined Amber when it had moved up to Newcastle upon Tyne, the manipulation of still imagery paved the way for the use of still photography in Byker and The Writing in the Sand.
