Fighting through the Night takes us to the heart of contemporary Greece, where people are striving for a common future while resisting an oppressive economy. Whether they are Greek, Syrian or Afghan refugees, cleaning women or unemployed longshoremen, volunteer doctors or the homeless, all these people, all their stories, respond to each other and weave unexpected connections. Propelled by both complementary and discordant forces, this epic film invigorates the great tradition of direct cinema by combining poetry and experimentation.
