Dave Thomas' Appleby Horse Fair is being shown at Side Gallery from 21 June to 19 July (Tue to Sat, 11am to 5pm). Dean Chapman's new exhibition Horse Nation, which looks at harness racing in County Durham, horse fairs (including Appleby) and drives runs from Saturday 21 June to Saturday 23 August. In conjunction with this, we will be showing Amber's two 'horsey' films at Side Cinema: Seacoal on Thu 10 July, 7pm and Eden Valley on Thu 24 July, 7pm. Commemorating the death, last August, of Murray Martin, Amber filmmaker and horsey man, we will be previewing our new documentary about Murray and about the Coulsons, a horsey family in County Durham. The Pursuit of Happiness will be shown at Side Cinema on Sat 16 August, 2.30pm, 5pm & 7pm. Look out for broadcasts of Seacoal, Eden Valley, Shooting Magpies and The Pursuit of Happiness on More4 this autumn/winter.
