By: Anne Dexter - 8th September 2010 (at 11:32PM)In the 50's the Video shop seen in the picture used to be a butchers, they used to bring the cattle/sheep to be slaughtered at the back of the shop building, the houses in the background are 'North' all beginnig with A, I lived in Allen St.

By: lynn dodds - 23rd March 2010 (at 12:05PM)not many shops left in easington now..once over we had 2 banks, 3 post offices..and plenty of shops so there was no need to travel to peterlee...unlike now and its such a shame because seaside lane used to be a thriving high street.
