not many shops left in easington now..once over we had 2 banks, 3 post offices..and plenty of shops so there was no need to travel to peterlee...unlike now and its such a shame because seaside lane used to be a thriving high street.

In the 50's the Video shop seen in the picture used to be a butchers, they used to bring the cattle/sheep to be slaughtered at the back of the shop building, the houses in the background are 'North' all beginnig with A, I lived in Allen St.
