Fishing Industry
Nick Hedges (Photographer)
Most of the boats that fish from Shields have crews of three or four men. The nets are usually hauled in 2 or 3 times during each day's fishing, with a waiting time of between two and a half and four hours between casting and hauling in the nets. (Depending on weather conditions and fishing prospects this pattern can be altered.)
