Jack Winspear of Egton Bridge Club
going off against John Ward at Egton Bridge on September 1st, 1979. Jack is one of a small number of players who throw the quoit from between the legs. When quoits was at its peak before the Second World War it was unthinkable to throw the quoit any other way. However, players in the Danby League seem to favour throwing from the side.
