Newcastle Factory Opening 1954
When they came to close this factory they did not push anything this way. There was nothing to replace the job losses. The only factories left to close were Bristol which is the centre of Wills'. Nottingham which is the centre of Player's and Newcastle so they were not going to close the two locations which were multi-million pound new investments, they were going to close this place it was really political as much as anything else really.
