Docs North East Launch: Saturday 12th Feb – 2pm – 5pm 

This introductory event is an opportunity for filmmakers to meet for the first time, share thoughts and ideas, explore Amber Films’ roots in the North East.

We will discuss Amber’s origins, with founder and long-term Members, Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen and Peter Roberts, the decision and dedication to documentary and how collaboration and collective practice supported production. This will be followed by a Filmmakers Forum for professionals to share and discuss their thoughts on the current landscape facing creatives based in the North East today.
