A feature film which grew out of Amber’s work in North Shields, which blends magic, fantasy, dreams and realism in its exploration of women’s lives.
Amber bought a pub, The New Clarendon, as part of its five year North Shields residency. The film is structured round three weekly women’s darts matches in the pub league Amber members took part in. Set on the Meadow Well estate, the film drew on The Privatisation Tapes and Shields Stories, work with a writers group Amber established at the Cedarwood Centre and Steve Conlan’s documentation of the estate, commissioned by Side Gallery in parallel with the filmmaking.
